I would love to share God’s truth and love with your group, live and online!

I enjoy sharing the Word of God and inviting others to approach His throne of grace with Spirit-empowered prayers.

If you’re looking for a speaker, please prayerfully consider inviting me to join your group.

I nurture spiritual growth through the prayerful study and application of Scripture. I celebrate diversity and advocate for equity and inclusion, alongside my beautifully diverse family and my service dog, Callie. Crossing cultural, generational, and international lines, I provide strong, biblical teaching, Scripture-based prayers, and encouragement designed to inspire the development of deeper, authentic relationships with God and others.

I am excited about equipping and encouraging others to join me as the Holy Spirit empowers each of us to fulfill the Great Commission, sharing the Gospel and making disciples, while living out the Greatest Commandment, to love God and others.

My joyful spirit and hope-filled messages reveal how the Lord’s unchanging character, sovereign goodness, and unconditional love empower victorious living when enduring trials and embracing triumphs with an eternal perspective.

I believe in authenticity and being real about the struggles of living by faith on this side of eternity, as we depend on God to be our strength, our peace, our joy, and our enduring hope in all circumstances.

As a disabled author and speaker, reliant on the Holy Spirit and overflowing with the joy of Jesus, I am living by His grace and always ready to share what God is revealing to me as I continue growing closer to Him and His people.

I enjoy one-day events and retreats. I’m always ready to build the curriculum for one or several faith-building workshops around your theme or around the theme of one of my books or articles. I even enjoy prayerfully brainstorming with a leadership team, if your group is interested in hosting an event but haven’t decided on a theme, yet.

I’m available to read my children’s books, share age-appropriate biblical messages from those books, and offer Q&A sessions or writing workshops through author visits at schools, libraries, after-school programs, and various church events designed for children, like AWANA and Vacation Bible School.

I invest in Christian writers through writing workshops and Christian writing conferences, like Publishing in Color.

If you fill out the contact form below and God leads us to work together, I commit to prayerfully creating custom messages for your event.

I have decades of experience serving as a Bible teacher for children, teens, and adults.

Callie the Service Dog is professionally trained through Tails for Life Inc. in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. She serves as my mobility dog during all events. She is friendly, clean, safe, and well-behaved. However, since she is in work-mode during events, I ask others to help her do a good job helping me by ignoring her adorable face and floppy ears. (I know it’s hard! So, I pray for us!)

Thanks for visiting my website and considering me as you prayerfully consider speakers to serve your group during your next event.

Yearly Conference

The Publishing in Color Conference I continue to support the leadership of The Publishing in Color Conference, now owned and directed by Joyce Dinkins Publishing, LLC, as of April 1, 2023. I serve as a volunteer prayer support for the conference year round and am often blessed with the privilege of teaching workshops during this conference.

The Publishing in Color Conference is designed to equip and encourage Christian Black and Indigenous people of color (BIPOC) who are honing their craft and working toward serving the Lord as Christian communicators and content creators.

During Q&A sessions after select workshops and one-on-one appointments with select faculty members, conferees can learn from and network with seasoned authors, literary agents, and editors who are currently serving the Lord through traditional Christian publishing.

The cost for this online conference will continue to be kept affordable and a select number of scholarships are awarded to BIPOC writers each year.

For more information and to register for the upcoming conference, please visit the Publishing in Color Conference website.

Introduction to the Speaker

Please feel free to use any of the following information in your publicity materials when promoting an event featuring Xochitl Dixon.

Xochitl (So-Cheel) E. Dixon stole her first Bible. In 1992, before she surrendered her life to Christ, her in-laws started giving her copies of Our Daily Bread. She reluctantly accepted the quarterly magazines and now rejoices when considering how God used them to prepare her to receive Christ as her Savior in December 2001. In 2015, Xochitl became a contributing writer for those quarterly magazines provided by Our Daily Bread Ministries. To God be the glory, the honor, and the praise!

She has a heart for prayer, loving God, loving people, as well as nurturing spiritual growth and authentic community through prayer and the study and application of Scripture. She celebrates diversity and serves as an advocate for equity, inclusion and justice for all God’s image-bearers, while relying on the Holy Spirit to fulfill the Great Commission while living out the Greatest Commandment.

Xochitl has ministered to women, teens, children, and writers since 2001. She served as a ministry leader and Bible study teacher for teens with her husband for over a decade. She’s served as a Bible Study Group Leader and a Speaker for women and Christian communicators and writers for over twenty years. In 2012, when a worsening back injury minimized her mobility, she began her “armchair ministry.” However, Xochitl still serves the Lord with Callie the Service Dog, who is featured in all of her children’s picture books. Together, they enjoy sharing God’s truth and love with small and large groups in person, and through Zoom. Xochitl also has fun engaging with listeners as a guest or as a member of a panel on radio and TV shows, Instagram Live, Facebook Live, YouTube, and podcasts.

Xochitl currently serves as a contributing writer for the Our Daily Bread and God Hears Her blog. She is the author of Waiting for God: Trusting God’s Plan and Pace (ODBP, 2019), and is preparing for the release of her second full-length devotional with Our Daily Bread Publishing in 2025.

Her first children’s picture book, Different from Me (ODBP, 2020) was selected as a 2021 ECPA Christian Book Award Children’s Book Finalist, nominated by industry professionals as one of the top five Christian Children’s Books of the year. She is praising God for the upcoming 2024 release of two more children’s picture books, which are being prepared for publication by WaterBrook and Multnomah Kids, an imprint of Penguin Random House.

Her devotions have been included in Known by God (2023), God Loves Her (2022), God Sees Her (2021), And He Walks with Us (2019), Moments of Peace for Moms (2019), What Really Matters (2019), God Hears Her (2017), Our Help (2017), and This Far by Faith: Legacies of the Black Church (2017), as well as Guideposts’ All God’s Creatures (2019, 2020, 2021, 2022),

She has published articles in Second-Chance Dogs (Revell, 2018), My Amazing Mom (Chicken Soup for the Soul, 2018), ENCOUNTER-The Magazine, Keys for Kids’ teen magazine, Unlocked, and LIVE Magazine.

Xochitl shares solid biblical teaching with transparency, authenticity, and hope while she explores how God empowers His people to live with courage and confidence, within the freedom of surrender to and dependence on Christ in all circumstances.

She is dedicated to sharing God’s truth and love to the ends of the earth. She enjoys singing, photography, sketching, dog-training, and traveling. Promoting peace and dependence on God’s immeasurable grace, Xochitl invites others to join her in worshipping God one victorious breath at a time . . . until Jesus returns.
